Stowed Out 2012

After years of saying “wouldn’t it be great to have a festival in Stow” Sound Out took the plunge. We called in lots of favours and self funded the inaugural Stowed Out Festival. Bands were booked on the basis that we could not guarantee payment but they would get a share of any profit from the bar. We borrowed a stage from the local primary school and jacked up the side of an old marquee to make blooming good performance area. The local community groups all pitched in lending small marquees and manpower. The result? The rain stopped for the first time in months and the public were treated to a great day of free live music including the Beggar Girls, Katie Forbes and rounded of with a storming set by tOrino
